"Through installations and sculptural objects, I explore the relationship between humans and contemporary technologies, artificial intelligence, and the shifting system of values. My focus is not on technology itself, but on its impact on people— how it influences our decisions, attention, memory, and our understanding of who we are."
BY MYSELF
This installation reflects on the development of artificial
intelligence and the changing relationship between humans
and machines.
As a father of two children, I often hear the phrase, “I can do
it myself!”- a child's first attempt to act independently while
learning from those around them.
Today, AI is increasingly used not only as a tool, but also as a
source of creative ideas. Rather than developing their own
concepts, some artists allow AI to shape the work itself.
This raises a question: are we approaching a moment when
artificial intelligence will move beyond being an assistant
and become an autonomous creator? One day, it may say to
humanity the very same words children say to their parents:
“I can do it myself!”

"You and I, You and Me"
Curators: Mindaugas Gapševičius и Maria Safronova Wahlström. In collaboration with Leon Crayfish (shoe design).
Collection of wearables, part of You and I, You and Me
Shoes, as an artefact, refer to daily clothing, something humans wear to protect themselves from unexpected environmental obstacles, including other organisms that are not necessarily always friendly to humans as well as cold. The collection of shoes add a yet one
function, an interface to explore the environment. Could excess human heat be used to experience umwelt?
The shoes use excess human heat, which is turned into electricity to generate sound. While being affected by the ambient temperature, light, and movement, the shoes produce different sounds.
The collection of shoes suggests rethinking the human relationship with nature. Furthermore, the collection critiques the hype surrounding renewable energy, which often pollutes the environment no less than the energy obtained from burning gas or coal.
